Why Us?
SafeT21express is a high sensitivity genetics analysis service for the non-invasive prenatal screening of Down syndrome and other disorders. SafeT21express is a test that analyses such circulating cell-free DNA molecules with next-generation DNA sequencing technologies and performs bioinformatics analysis. Genetic information from the unborn child can be obtained.

How the test is done?
SafeT21express utilizes Next Generation Sequencing technique and bioinformatics analysis on both maternal DNA and cell-free placental DNA found in maternal blood. Compared to traditional screening methods based on nuchal translucency or maternal age, SafeT21express is more sensitive, reliable, accurate and informative.
Pregnant women with a pregnancy of appropriate gestational age as below:
Singleton: >10 weeks
Twins/ Fetal reduction; >12 weeks
Triplets: >14 weeks
Standard Panel screens for 14 validated conditions.
Advanced Panel screens for chromosomal aneuploidies of all 23 pairs of chromosomes, including trisomies and the 126 microdeletions or microduplications with a minimum size of 3 Mb.
The test results and reports from both tests are signed by our medical technologists and will be reviewed by the professor from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
